St. Thomas Lights the Way

St. Thomas “Lights the Way”

My name is Sarah and I am a student here at St. Thomas the Apostle School.

St. Thomas the Apostle is a great Catholic school that “lights the way”.  Every year, we try to embody the theme of Catholic Schools Week here at STA.  St. Thomas lights the way in everything it does and in what it teaches its students.  This helps them to feel the light of God in their lives.

St. Thomas “lights the way” in many ways.  Our teachers instruct us in religion and show students how to treat others with kindness, love, and respect.  Almost everyone in the school is involved in an extra-curricular activity.  This helps to build support and a connection among students.  Being a basketball player, I can count on seeing so many people from St. Thomas on weekends at games, even if they do not play a sport.  Many people come to support their school at volleyball, soccer, and softball games as well.  We also have a Social Actions Committee, which helps spread the spirit of giving.  St. Thomas the Apostle “lights the way” for all its students.

For many years, St. Thomas has inspired students to become better people.  All the school activities bring everyone in the STA community closer together. Having good character is taught daily.  Students come out of St. Thomas with love for God and others.  Everyday, STA lights the way.
