Catholic Schools Light the Way

maura

I, Maura Jones, am a Catholic school student who always tries to light the way. As I am quickly approaching high school, I want to stay connected with my good Catholic values. I can continue to be to an altar server and make a strong attempt to attend mass every Sunday. I would like to keep my connection with God and the Church alive and light the way by setting a good example for others.

In my school, I can light the way when a teacher or fellow peer calls upon me. I can do my best to help in any way I possibly can. I am also an eighth grade buddy to a kindergartner. We take our buddies to all of the school masses. We become role models for our younger friends. This ensures that the younger population of our school knows how to act while in a sacred place. Sister Joan has also asked my friend and me to give up some of our free time to help out in her class room. I enjoy this because is helps me reconnect with my inner-child.

In my home, I can light the way when a family member is upset. I can be there for them because I know they would be there for me. On my sports teams, I can also light the way. I can help coaches with the younger athletes and help resolve issues with athletes my own age. I have strong leadership skills and enjoy shining my light upon others.
I am always grateful to all the parishoners who support our parish and school. With your help, Saint Thomas is teaching all of it’s student to light the way.
