Sacraments of Initiation
Sacrament of Baptism
Parents must register their child for baptism. Pre-baptism meetings must be attended prior to the celebration of the sacrament. Godparents must be fully initiated in the Catholic faith and present a Certificate of Eligibility.
Sacrament of Holy Eucharist
Adults: Enroll and attend classes in the parish RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults.)
Children: Enroll and attend classes in the parish Religious Education program. Please call the Religious Education Office for more information
Sacrament of Confirmation
Adults: Enroll and attend classes in the parish RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults.)
Children: Enroll and attend classes in the parish Religious Education program (see Religious Education page.)
Sacraments of Healing
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Saturdays at 11AM in the Church in the reconciliation room is below the stained glass window of Mary Queen of the Universe in the Right Transept.
Reconciliation can also administered by request.
For first Reconciliation: Enroll and attend classes in the parish religious education program.
Sacrament of Anointing
Anytime upon request in the home of the sick. An annual Mass of Anointing is celebrated. Communion to the sick and homebound: a priest or Extraordinary Minister of Communion from the parish will bring communion to those parishioners confined to home. Please notify the parish center when someone is ill or admitted to the hospital.
Sacraments of Service
Sacrament of Holy Orders
Men who feel called to the priesthood or diaconate are asked to contact one of the parish priests or contact the Vocations Office of the Archdiocese of Newark at 973-497-4365.
Sacrament of Marriage
The couple should contact a parish priest at least one year before the desired date for the marriage to insure proper preparation for the sacrament.
