Our Youth Ministry Leader has been recognized for Exceptional Service

The Office for Youth & Young Adult Ministry of the Archdiocese of Newark has selected Francesca Leite, our Youth Ministry Leader at STA Church, to receive the Saint John Paul II Award.

This award is the highest recognition that the Archdiocese of Newark Office for Youth & Young Adult Ministry bestows on a lay person in Youth Ministry. The Saint John Paul II Award also recognizes those individuals who share their ministry not only with their own parish youth program, but also with the entire Archdiocese as well. The award is given for one’s selfless and dedicated service to youth and youth ministry in the style and spirit of Saint John Paul II.

Please join us in congratulating Francesca!

The 7 Key Themes of Catholic Social Teaching: 7 - Care for Creation

From the Social Concerns Ministry.

Seven Themes of Catholic Social Teaching: from the US Conference of Catholic Bishops:

THEME 7: CARE FOR CREATION

The Catholic Church proclaims the Seven Themes of Catholic Social Teaching, the seventh of which is Care for Creation. This theme states that we show our respect for the Creator by our stewardship of creation. Care for the earth is not just an Earth Day slogan; it is a requirement of our faith. We are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God’s creation. This environmental challenge has fundamental moral and ethical dimensions that cannot be ignored.

For more information about this Theme, please see the Social Concerns Ministry page (stachurchbloomfield.org/social-concerns-ministry)
